Facilitator & Assistant Studio Manager
Time spent in solitude creates the space we need to let in life’s wildness – Schoolhouse Electric
Growing up with a love of acrobatics, hiking, and performance, Ben was initially drawn to yoga for the physical asana practice. He began his training in Ashtanga yoga whilst studying a Bachelor of Dance, primarily as a way to build strength to support his flexibility. As he moved from studying dance to acting however, he quickly realised yoga’s grounding, mindfulness and philosophic branches were equally as transformational.
Fast forward 6 years and Ben has now completed his 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Power Living Australia, is teaching for Power Living Adelaide across both it’s locations, and is more committed to his practice than ever. He also enjoys the role of Assistant Studio Manager for Power Living Adelaide and Manages sister business Active Bodies Physiotherapy.
If he had to summarise his core values as a teacher he would say frequently acknowledging his privilege, listening first, empowering others, and creating a safe space for students of all genders, race, sexuality and abilities to practice. He acknowledges his teaching and practice occur on the lands of Kaurna people, and that this land was never ceded.
