Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Facilitator
Benjamin Waters is a registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been a student of Yoga, the Martial Arts and Qigong for over a decade. He has studied the arts of Wu Shu, Tai Qi Quan, Ba Gua and Aikido in Melbourne, Sydney and China; and is delighted to bring his practice to the Adelaide Power Living community.
Having been introduced to meditation and yoga when performing theatre in the ACT, Ben decided to pursue a career in the healing arts in 2008 and subsequently completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has studied acupuncture under Kiiko Matsumoto Sensei and Yoshiro Shimamura Senei in the style of Master Nagano and has interned at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Sichuan, China. His practice incorporates Buddhist and Taoist meditative and mindfulness techniques and he has studied meditation internationally, notably in the Zen (Chuan) and Theravada traditions in Australia, Thailand, Myanmar and China.
Ben practices acupuncture and teaches Qigong at our city studio and is passionate about facilitating individual health on a physical, energetic and spiritual level. He looks forward to seeing you in the treatment room or on the mat soon.
When you are not extending, bending and sweating what do you like to do?
Spend time in the ocean, laugh,
What sound do you love?
My little boy’s laughter.
Yoga has made me…
More centred and alive.
